Clarmo Terms of Use
Version 1.2. Last updated: October 8, 2026.
1. What Clarmo is
Clarmo is a personal support tool to quit or cut down on porn: a daily check-in, streak, stats, exercises for moments of urge (SOS), reads, a self-reflection test about porn-induced erectile dysfunction (PIED), and a chat with an AI.
2. Clarmo is not a medical service
Clarmo is a personal support tool and is not a substitute for professional help. It does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and nothing the app or its AI says is medical or psychological advice. The PIED test is self-reflection, not a diagnosis. If you have physical or mental health problems, see a professional.
If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call the emergency number in your country.
3. Who can use it
You must be 18 or over. You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your access secure (password, PIN, device).
4. Subscription and prices
- Clarmo works with a paid subscription: monthly (€9.99) or yearly (€79.99). The price in your country and currency is the one shown in the app before you pay, taxes included.
- Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) handle the purchase and the charge, with your store account.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same length and price, unless you cancel first: on the App Store, at least 24 hours before renewal; on Google Play, any time before the renewal date.
- We will email you before each renewal, with time to cancel if you want.
- How to cancel: in your Apple or Google account’s subscription settings. After cancelling you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription. Cancel it in the store first.
- Price changes: we will only raise the price for objective reasons (for example, higher costs, taxes or store fees). We will tell you at least 30 days in advance, through the store or by email, and you can cancel at no cost before it applies. If you do not cancel, it applies at the next renewal. The store may also ask you to accept the new price.
Guarantee
We are responsible for Clarmo working as described in these terms and in the store (the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services, Arts. 114 onwards of the Spanish consumer protection law). If something does not work as it should, write to us and we will fix it at no cost. If we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, you can ask for a price reduction or end the contract and get back the proportional part of what you paid.
Refunds and right of withdrawal
When you buy on the App Store, the seller of the subscription is Apple. So the 14-day right of withdrawal and refunds are handled by Apple under its Media Services Terms: from Purchase History in your Apple Account (“Withdraw from Transaction”) or at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Google Play, Google handles them under its terms, from your Google Play account. Nothing here limits your rights under consumer law.
App licence on iPhone
If you use Clarmo on an iPhone, the app licence is also governed by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula). These terms add to it. If anything conflicts, whatever is more favourable to you applies. The parts of that agreement that cap liability at a fixed amount or provide the app “as is”, without warranties, do not apply where consumer law does not allow them.
5. Clarmo’s AI
The chat and the notes on your stats are written by an artificial intelligence, not a person. It can be wrong: do not take its answers as facts or as professional advice. The AI is optional and needs your separate consent.
AI usage limit. Each account has an AI usage limit counted over the last 7 days. This is how it works:
- As you get close to the limit, the AI switches to a lighter mode: shorter replies with less context.
- If you reach it, the regular chat pauses until a few days pass and there is room again. The rest of the app keeps working as usual.
- The chat you open from SOS is never cut off: if needed, it replies in the lighter mode or with a support message and help resources.
- There is also a limit for automated or abusive use (many messages in a very short time).
More in How Clarmo’s AI works (clarmo.app/ai).
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Clarmo to:
- try to access other people’s data or our systems, or test their security without permission;
- copy, decompile or resell the app;
- automate use of the chat or try to make the AI produce illegal or sexually explicit content, or content that harms others;
- any illegal purpose.
If you break these terms we may suspend or close your account. Except in serious cases or where the law prevents it, we will warn you first and tell you why.
7. Your content
What you write in Clarmo (check-ins, journal, chat) is yours. You give us permission only to store and process it to provide the service, as the Privacy Policy (clarmo.app/privacy) explains. We do not use it for anything else or publish it.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its design, text, images and code belong to Clarmo or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app while you have an active subscription.
9. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Clarmo running, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or failures. We may improve or change features. If a change significantly harms you, we will tell you in advance and you can cancel.
10. Liability
Clarmo is offered as a support tool. We are not liable for decisions you make based on the app or its AI, or for indirect damages that could not be foreseen. This limitation does not apply, and we are always liable under the law:
- for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence;
- for damage to life, health or physical integrity;
- for damage from breaching our essential obligations (providing the service you pay for and protecting your data);
- or for any other right consumer law gives you that cannot be limited (Art. 86 of the Spanish consumer protection law).
11. Ending the contract
- You: you can stop using Clarmo whenever you like. Cancel the subscription in the store and, if you want, delete your account under Profile → Delete account, which erases your data (except the minimal proof of your consent explained in the Privacy Policy).
- Us: we may close your account in the cases in section 6. If we ever stop offering Clarmo, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice.
12. Changes to these terms
We will only change them for justified reasons (changes in the law, the app or the stores’ terms). If the change is significant, we will tell you by email and in the app at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can cancel at no cost before it applies. When you subscribe we will email you these terms so you can keep them.
13. Who provides the service
These terms are the agreement between you and Victor Orengo Pavia, tax ID 23869756B, address Calle Sant Lluís 35, 1st floor, 08012 Barcelona, Spain (“Clarmo”, “we”), for using the Clarmo app. You accept them when you create your account and subscribe. Contact: [email protected].
14. Complaints and governing law
- Complaints: write to [email protected]. We reply within one month.
- Alternative dispute resolution: Clarmo is not currently part of any consumer alternative dispute resolution scheme. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can go to your local or regional consumer services, or to the courts.
- Governing law: these terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim before the courts where you live and keep the rights the law of your country of residence gives you.
